Activities are AI-powered learning activities that can act as assistants, assignments, practice buddies, or more. AI activities on Flint are customized by you, for your students to interact with. They can be given specific teaching guidelines and materials to follow and can assess your students or give them extra help. There are many use cases on how activities could look for different subjects.
Once you've created an activity, you can do a number of things with your activity. You're able to duplicate, rename, share, pause, duplicate, publish and collaborate on activities.
Once you have created an activity, duplicating the activity can be done in a few simple steps. Duplicating is a good way to:
- Assign the same activity to different classes.
- Edit an activity while keeping the old version.
- Share an activity with a colleague (just duplicate and make your colleague an owner so they can edit the settings and manage submissions).
How to do it -
- Navigate to your activity
- Click on "duplicate activity" at the top
- Select the class(es) that you want to duplicate the activity to and click "Duplicate"
Once you create an activity, you as the owner have the ability to delete the activity at any time. You might want to delete an activity for a number of reasons, maybe it was accidentally created, no longer relevant, or didn't have the time to assign to your students and have moved on.
How to do it -
- Navigate to the activity you want to delete
- Click on the three dots at the top to remove activity
- Confirm that you want it deleted
You might want to rename your activity for a number of reasons, like updating it to match the unit you're working on or making it clearer for your students. Whatever it maybe, we have made so you can easily do it!

- Go to "Activity settings" at the top of the page
- Click on "Build Manually"
- Change the name of the activity in the overview section
Sharing activities is a great way to collaborate with colleagues and share resources. Once you've shared an activity, your colleague will be able to duplicate it and use it in their own classrooms.
How to do it -
- Navigate to the activity you want to collaborate on
- Click on "Share activity" at the top of the page
- Add the name of the person you want to give activity access to
Pausing an activity temporarily stops students from continuing any existing sessions or starting new sessions. This is a great way to lock or freeze access to an activity.
We see teachers using this feature to restrict an activity's usage to just during class time, where the teacher will unpause the activity at the start of class and pause it at the end. It's also a good option for locking the activity until you're ready for students to use it.
How to do it -
- Navigate to the activity you want to pause
- Click on "Activity settings" at the top
- Go to "Build manually" and select "Assignment" one the left sidebar
- Toggle "Pause" to on and update the activity
If you want to work on the same activity with a colleague remotely, you can add them as an owner. This will give them the ability to edit the settings and also see any sessions made with the activity. It's great for building an activity together or for any classes you co-teach.
Note: If you'd like to just share an activity you've made with them, but don't want them to be able to edit or see your original activity, we suggest you duplicate your activity and make them an owner.
How to do it -
- Navigate to the activity you want to collaborate on
- Click on "Share activity" at the top of the page
- Add the name of the person you want to give activity access to
- Ensure they are an "owner" of the activity and update your changes
A library is exactly what you think it is. It's a database of teacher created activities that you can duplicate, edit, and use in your own classroom. You can publish your activities to allow other educators to view, edit, and enhance your original activity to their needs for their students! You can publish activities to your school, district, or public library at the same time.

How to do it -
- Navigate to "My Activities" or the class where your activity is located and click on the activity.
- Publish activity at the top of your screen
- Choose the library you want to publish it to. You can publish to more than one library at a time.
- Make sure to check the box that confirms the activity is a duplicate and does not contain any sensitive personal or copyrighted content and publish the activity.
